HOMEOWNERS
To
market your home, you must
have a Home Information
Pack (HIP).
There are several
ways in which you can get
a HIP: |
All
estate agents can order
a HIP
Some will offer a HIP
for free, though it might
be more accurate to say
that you will pay for
it when you pay the agent's
fees. If you think you
might decide not to sell
your home, or you might
want to use another agent,
find out what you would
then have to pay the
original agent for the
HIP.
|
Your
solicitor can provide
you with a HIP
Your
solicitor will either
produce it themselves
or will order it from
a HIP provider. You can
be sure you will get
a good quality HIP, though
it may cost a bit more.
|
You
can order a HIP directly
You
can get a complete,
good quality HIP quickly
and at a good price from
me, and you will be tied
to no-one aftwerwards.
|
You
can do-it-yourself
A
homeowner can prepare
a HIP themself and there
are DIY HIP packs for
sale online. You will
need to buy the Energy
Performance Certificate
from an accredited Domestic
Energy Assessor such
as me and you will need
to buy the searches from
either a search company
or your local authority.
